Small Groups

Purpose:
The goal of our small groups is to develop deep gospel community  on a level which allows for genuine and long-term growth and loving relationship.

The Philosophy of Small Groups:

While we strive for unity in community throughout our whole church, it is not practically possible to relate at the same level with every other member of our church.  Enter small groups.  Small groups are simply a bit-sized chunk of our community, a user friendly portion, which is our essential context for Christian growth and mutual encouragement.

The Practice of Small Groups:
This practice of Christians meeting in smaller groups is specifically mentioned in the New Testament (Acts 2:46, 20:20; Rom 16:5).  Thus, it is an integral aspect of our church life.  These groups meet regularly (at least every other week) for study, discussion, prayer, and fellowship.  The content of these meetings is currently sermon response, which provides an opportunity for continued reflection and integration of Scripture.  The small groups leaders serve as facilitators for these discussions and ensure that the group meets regularly.

At present, our small groups are getting re-organized for the Fall, after our summer break.  If you are interested in visiting one of our small groups, we recommend joining us for Sunday service.  We'd love to talk with you and explain more about our groups.
