About the Church.
Cerritos Presbyterian Church is situated centrally between LA and Orange counties in the city of Artesia, which was named in the September 2007 issue of the Economist as one of the most ethnically diverse areas of California and the entire United States. In fact, from CPC’s location at the intersection of Pioneer Blvd. and 178th St., you can go a few blocks in any direction and see ample evidence of this diversity. We hope over time to reflect the diversity of our community as we engage our neighbors with the love and compassion of Christ.

The CPC facilities have grown through the years to span both sides of 178th Street. The Faith Center was built in 2003 to house the English Ministry and the CPC Preschool. Having its own facilities on the second floor of the Faith Center helped the English Ministry congregation forge a strong sense of identity as it continued to grow, but we soon outgrew the Faith Center. Despite boasting a gym that happens to be the largest indoor meeting space in Artesia, the Faith Center’s worship space was on the cozy side and could no longer accommodate the English Ministry, even with two Sunday worship services. In 2009, the English Ministry moved back across the street to the main sanctuary in response to our growing needs. The English Ministry office is now on the second floor of the Mission Center, and the seating capacity of the main sanctuary allows us to meet all together for worship in one service.

About Us
Cerritos Presbyterian Church began in March of 1977 with 40 Korean believers gathering together for worship. After two decades of growth through the faithfulness and power of God, the vision to serve the next generation led to the founding of CPC English Ministry in 1996. CPC English Ministry exists not only to provide a spiritual home to the rising generation of Korean Americans, but also to reach diverse people from every background with the message of the gospel, both here in Southern California and beyond.
The CPC English Ministry has been blessed richly through the years by the support and leadership of the CPC Korean Ministry. CPC English Ministry continues to flourish in this partnership with the Korean Ministry, as both congregations share fellowship in humility and love and work together for the spread of the gospel.
